Day 1
Fly overnight from the U.S. to Istanbul
- Depart from your chosen US airport on an overnight transatlantic flight to Istanbul, Turkey’s magnificent city that bridges Europe and Asia. Relax onboard and prepare to begin your journey through Turkey’s rich culture, history, and natural wonders.
Day 2
Arrive in Istanbul – Transfer to Hotel
- Arrive in Istanbul and transfer to your hotel. Take the rest of the day to relax and recover from your flight. In the evening, enjoy a stroll around the historic Sultanahmet area or along the Galata Bridge for beautiful sunset views over the Bosphorus. Dinner at leisure.
Day 3
Explore Istanbul – Palaces, Mosques & Bazaars
- After breakfast, begin your exploration of Istanbul’s old city. Visit the Hagia Sophia, the architectural masterpiece that has stood for over 1,500 years. Continue to the Blue Mosque, famous for its stunning blue tiles and six elegant minarets. After lunch, visit Topkapi Palace, the grand residence of Ottoman sultans, followed by a walk through the Hippodrome Square. End your day at the Grand Bazaar, one of the world’s oldest and largest covered markets.
Day 4
Discover Istanbul – Bosphorus & Spice Market
- After breakfast, enjoy a scenic Bosphorus cruise, sailing between Europe and Asia with panoramic views of mosques, palaces, and fortresses. Later, explore the Spice Bazaar, filled with colorful spices, teas, and Turkish delights. Spend the afternoon exploring the lively Taksim area or enjoy a coffee in Karaköy overlooking the waterfront. Optional: evening dinner cruise on the Bosphorus with traditional entertainment.
Day 5
Istanbul – Ankara (Coach Transfer)
- After breakfast, depart by comfortable coach for Ankara, the modern capital of Turkey (approx. 5–6 hours drive). Arrive and check in to your hotel, then visit the Atatürk Mausoleum (Anıtkabir), a monumental tribute to the founder of modern Turkey. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely walk around Kızılay Square or sample Ankara’s traditional cuisine.
Day 6
Explore Ankara – History & Culture
- After breakfast, explore Ankara’s historical treasures including the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, home to fascinating artifacts from ancient Anatolia. Ankara – Cappadocia (Coach Transfer)
- After breakfast, travel by coach to the captivating region of Cappadocia (approx. 4–5 hours drive). En route, stop by Salt Lake (Tuz Gölü) for photographs of its vast white landscape. Arrive in Cappadocia and check in to your hotel — many accommodations here are traditional cave-style. In the evening, enjoy a local dinner or attend an optional Turkish Night Show featuring folk dances.
Day 8
Explore Cappadocia – Fairy Chimneys & Valleys
- Rise early for an optional hot air balloon ride (weather permitting) for unforgettable sunrise views over Cappadocia’s surreal landscapes. After breakfast, visit Göreme Open-Air Museum, featuring rock-cut churches with ancient frescoes. Continue to explore Devrent Valley and Pasabag (Monk’s Valley), famous for their fairy chimneys and unique rock formations. Afternoon visit to Avanos, known for its pottery workshops and handicrafts.
Day 9
Cappadocia – Flight to Istanbul
- After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight back to Istanbul. Take time to relax or enjoy some last-minute shopping for Turkish delights, ceramics, or spices.
Day 10
Fly Back to the US
